Linda Jane James - is a fine artist
Lived in a small village in the english countryside for most of my childhood, sitting in the road making drawings of my house and teaching cows how to dance. Went to a BIG city in america - Oklahoma City. Memories of, crouching down for tornado practice, playing basketball and sitting on the floor making drawings of big city buildings. Chocolate milk at lunchtime, pencils from a vending machine and a big yellow school bus.
No maths 0-Level, so decided to become an accountant/management consultant (because I like a challenge and like to be creative!!). Travelled to lots of interesting companies and factories and met lots of different people.
I work as a practicing artist and information about my work can be found on this weblog http://lindajanejames.blogs.com. I also run my own company EDUCE drawing out potential, delivering workshops to artists and business people. http://lindajanejames.blogs.com/educe
Creativity got the better of me and I gave up the corporate life to do what I do now.
A curiosity about the odd idea of being alive, about trees and traffic signs and everyday things, about what we do with our time. About how we move through space, how we define a sense of place. About observations on the odd things we do and the traces we leave behind.
