Bring Me Sunshine - a one month residency with the National Trust in the Garden Room at Osterley Park (March - April 2006) This exhibition came about through isolating myself in the Garden Room for a month and asking visitors to 'bring me' some of the sunshine to be found in the park - e.g drawings made outside on the grass with ink and sticks, found objects, ideas or anything else of their choosing. My work was made in response to whatever occured during the day. Drawings and objects would then be transformed by myself into black and white prints, using photoshop to explore their particular characteristics. These drawings were then incorporated into a large self-portrait reflecting my time in the gallery and a series of 'daily' prints from the drawings collected on the day. The set up of the space and the inspiration for the work came from an exhibition I visited at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford - Beauties of the Four Seasons (prints by Japanese artists)
